20 weeks of
*fresh as heck*
veggies + herbs in a
market style pick up
CSA PRICING + INFORMATION
CSA stands for “Community Supported Agriculture.” A CSA share is purchased pre-season (though we do offer payment plans!) and guarantees you a weekly supply of fresh, farm grown veggies from June- October. Members will pick up shares 20 weeks out of a 21 week schedule, allowour farmer will take 1 week off of CSA distribution, and we’ll be sure to let you know that week with plenty of advance notice csa FAQsBy purchasing a CSA in the pre-season, you allow us to offset some of our start-up and cost of living expenses, which in turn helps us to reduce our annual debt. It costs a lot of money to get the farm running each spring- potting soil, seeds, fertilizer, new tools, infrastructure repairs, wages….it adds up!
Our CSA is “free-choice-ish”, which means we are offering our members a blend of traditional and modern CSA styles. Instead of packing up a box for you to pick up, we will set share options out in a market style display at the farm for you! Our CSA members can choose from a variety of options to fill their weekly share basket. Some items will have quantity limits, some items will be unlimited, and some items will be required. We will try very hard to make items unlimited as frequently as possible throughout the season. Please note that our Thursday CSA members will receive a Farmer’s Choice box; we’ll pack it for you, and all you need to do is pick it up at the Downtown Waterville Farmer’s Market.
We wish we could say that we’re the type of farm that will send out a weekly newsletter with photos, recipe ideas, and farm updates. But, we know ourselves too well to promise that. You can expect a farm newsletter a couple times a month, all the bells and whistles included.

CSA Memeber Policies
By enrolling in our CSA you are agreeing to abide by the Member Policies. Please read them below.
- Non refundable. Balances do not carry over to the next season, including add on shares. Unused share balances are not refundable.
- Payment; check, cash, or card due. You agree to your pay share in full by August. 50% deposit is due within one (1) week of sign up, though we encourage you to pay in full at sign up if you are financially able to. Those choosing to use a payment plan will pay the remaining share balance in up to three (3) installments.
- Payment; SNAP/EBT. We offer 50% reduced cost shares to members who wish to pay using SNAP/EBT. You agree to pay for your CSA in monthly installments, billed on the CSA pickup closest to the15th of each month, June-October. You will receive Maine Harvest Bucks (MHB) in a 1:1 ratio; for every SNAP dollar you spend on your CSA, you receive one dollar in MHB. We are reimbursed directly for your MHB by MOFGA. This program allows you access to our CSA at the 50% discounted rate, while also paying the farm the full value of the share. Flower shares are not eligible for SNAP/EBT.
- This CSA is a safe and inclusive space for all; we do not tolerate racism, discrimination, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, acts of hate or violence on our property or within our CSA membership. Members acting in opposition to these guidelines will be asked to leave the farm property, and may be removed from CSA membership.
- Dogs. We love dogs, but please no dogs at CSA pick up. We have two awesome farm doggos who will most likely be in the house during your pick up.
- Schedule. Pick ups are Tuesdays 4-6pm on our farm in Freedom, or Thursday at the Downtown Waterville Farmer’s Market 2-6pm. Late pickups without prior notice will be considered forfeit, and may be donated to the local food pantry. If you know you are running late or something comes up, please text/call Rachel and we can try to work something out.
- Missing a pick up. You’ve paid for 20 weeks of veggies, and we’d love for you to show up to all 20! That said we know things come up, and most folks go out of town at least once in the summer. If you know you’ll be missing a pick up, we suggest you ask a family member, friend, or neighbor if they would like to have your share that week. Please let us know if you have another coming to pick up for you, or at the very least ask them to let us know they are picking up your share when they come.
- Mindfulness when filling your share. This is a free choice CSA, which means that you get more flexibility and control over your share contents. We ask that you be mindful when filling your basket at pick up! (Please don’t take all of something without asking y’all!)
- We agree to, as much as possible, have a farmer present for the full share pick up window. We’re here to answer questions, share cooking tips, and keep the tables stocked!

WHAT IS COMMUNITY ANYWAYS?
We believe that a CSA cultivates and nourishes a community around the farm. Weekly CSA pick ups are fertile ground for catching up with friends, sharing recipe ideas, and basking together in the seasonal bounty and abundance of the farm.
Living and working rurally, it is important to us that we nurture spaces of safety, inclusiveness, and mutual aid. We strive for the farm to be one of these spaces for our CSA members.
